LANGLEY, B.C. – SOUTH LANGLEY CHURCH – FULL-TIME POSITION

South Langley Church (Mennonite Brethren) is seeking an Associate Pastor of Student Ministries. This position provides oversight, direction and implementation of South Langley Church’s (SLC) student ministries program for the purpose of helping junior high students (grades 6-9), senior high students (grades 9-12), and young adults know and follow Jesus. This person is the team leader for SLC’s Student Ministries staff.

Duties and responsibilities include youth ministry oversight, discipleship, pastoral care, participation in Sunday services (worship, preaching, other areas) as appropriate, and other general duties related to church ministry.

Qualifications include a BA (Masters preferred) with 3 to 5 years of direct experience in youth ministry. Other qualifications include a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, computer skills and Social Media presence, in addition to basic experience with AV, multimedia, tech, and presentation software. The successful applicant must possess a well-developed and demonstrated skill in youth ministry program development and assessment.

Salary will be based on education and experience. The start date for this position is the earliest possible in collaboration with the successful applicant. The job posting is open until a successful applicant has been hired.
